Plastic pipes & fittings

PVC pipes

Polyvinylchloride (PVC — PVC ) is considered one of the popular materials for the production of sewage pipe products. PVC pipes are not difficult to install, they have excellent performance and have a low cost.
Polyvinyl chloride is made from thermoplastic, which retains its shape as a result of heat treatment, and even in the case of mechanical stress.

PVC pipes are intended for the arrangement of:
— in-house sewage systems;
— external drainage lines;
— pressure structures;
— gravity drainage of waste liquid.

Technical characteristics of PVC sewer pipes have a direct impact on their performance properties.
Polyvinyl chloride for the production of pipes is distinguished by the following parameters:
1. High mechanical strength. PVC pipes can be used to lay sewer systems at depths of up to 8 meters.
2. The ability to provide free movement of solids contained in fecal wastewater, due to the smooth inner surface of the pipe.
3.Specific weight of about 2 kilograms per running meter. But this indicator may vary depending on the cross-section of the pipe and the thickness of its walls.
4. Permissible temperature of the working environment should be within the range of +65 ° C to -10 ° C. Only in some modifications of PVC pipes allowed short-term increase in temperature to +90 ° C.
5. The maximum tensile strength of up to 50 MPa.
6. The ability to withstand internal pressure ranging from 6 to 16 bar. The exact value depends on the structural characteristics of the pipe and wall thickness.
7. Long service life, up to 50 years.

Due to such technical characteristics sewer pipes made of this material occupy a leading position among similar products in the domestic market. In addition to the affordable price they are notable for the ease of installation due to the use of bell-mouthed method without special equipment, which greatly simplifies the repair of the pipeline or its dismantling.

Pipe lengths from 250 mm to 6000 mm
Thickness 2.2 mm and 3.2 mm
Diameter from 50 mm to 200 mm

PPH pipes

PP-H sewer pipes are used in many areas and industries where it is necessary:
— chemical resistance
— corrosion resistance
— tightness
— economy
— low weight
— durability
— eco-friendliness.

Advantages of PP-H polypropylene pipes
— Industrial pipes made of polypropylene homopolymer (PP-H) have high strength and high chemical resistance to aggressive media.
— Operating temperature of pipes made of pph from 0 to +95 ° C. Pressure: PN10 (1 mPa).
— Service life up to 50 years.

Polypropylene pipes PP-R

Polypropylene pipes (PP — Polypropylene) are designed for installation of cold water supply systems. These pipes are designed for pressure of 20 atmospheres, at t=20OC. Service life of polypropylene pipes is at least 50 years at rated pressure and temperature of the transported medium. However, the same pipes can be operated at high temperature and pressure, but the service life is reduced. For example, a Pn20 pipe designed for service life of 50 years at temperature of +75°C will be used without failure for about 20-25 years. PP pipes have good thermal insulation and zero current conductivity.

Polypropylene pipes PP-RC with fiberglass

Polypropylene pipes PP-RC Herkul PN 20 pipes 20-110 diameter with glass fiber are made in three layers, the inner and outer layers consist of polypropylene, and the middle layer of a special mixture of polypropylene and glass fiber. This type of pipes combines the advantages of polypropylene pipes and pipes reinforced with aluminum foil. A special composition of the middle layer reduces the linear expansion of the pipe as a result of temperature increase, minimizing the expansion and sagging of the pipe at high temperatures. Pipes PP-RC Herkul PN 20 with glass fibers are highly efficient and easy to use, and do not require stripping.

Advantages of PP-RC Herkul PN 20 pipes with glass fiber:
— Have a lower expansion coefficient (0.355 mm/m) than standard polypropylene PN 20 pipes when temperatures rise. For this reason, fewer clips are used, the cost of the system is reduced.
— Does not require cleaning during installation.
— Can be used in cold, hot water and heating systems.
— Thermal conductivity 1,10 W / Mk. This is less compared to iron, copper pipes
— Lighter in comparison to iron and copper pipes. Easy to transport and install.
— Do not condense moisture. Do not affect the color, odor and taste of water. Have a hygienic structure.
— PP-RC HERKUL PN 20 pipes with glass fiber will last at least 50 years if the stated nominal pressure and temperature of the transported medium is observed. This is important for the service life of pipes, despite their versatility: the ability to tolerate temperatures from 10 to +90 ° without losing their properties.
— In addition to their excellent quality parameters and many operational advantages, HERKUL pipes are also very easy to install. Welding PP-RC pipes does not take much time, does not produce noise, dirt, any other unpleasant effects.

PERT pipes

Pressure pipes made of heat-resistant polyethylene are a modern and popular solution for low-temperature heating, in particular underfloor heating, which is increasingly becoming an alternative to the classic radiator circuit.

PE-RT polyethylene of increased thermal resistance is an ethylene-ketene copolymer, which has a unique molecular structure with a controlled distribution of side chains, which allows for high levels of hydrostatic stress resistance in a wide range of operating temperatures (from 50 to 100 degrees).
Due to this structure, heat-resistant polyethylene pipes have increased flexibility, strength, high resistance to temperature fluctuations and chemical resistance.

PVC and PPH Fittings

Fittings for sewers are available in one, -two and three planes with a connection angle of 45 and 90 degrees. Connects two pipes in a straight section of the sewer.
Advantages of sewer fittings.

Modern sewage systems in most cases are installed using plastic pipes. Unlike steel and cast iron, plastic does not require welding. Using special sewer fittings system is assembled as a construction set quickly and without major investment. With the advent of new accessories installation of engineering networks has become much easier.

The main advantages of sewer fittings:
— low weight. Fittings are easy to load, transport, unload, install. Reduced cost of transportation. Low weight of plastic pipelines is also important for calculating the load on the load-bearing elements of buildings;
— durability. Plastic is not exposed to corrosion, rotting. It can withstand significant changes in temperature and humidity without cracking. With proper installation service life of sewer fittings is up to 50 years and longer;
— a wide range of assortment. Connecting elements are available in several sizes, corresponding to the diameter of the pipes. You can pick up accessories for any purpose and configuration of the pipeline.

Recommendations for installation of sewer fittings

To create a tight and reliable system, it is recommended to buy accessories from one manufacturer. A few useful recommendations:
— Fittings of the bell type are easy to connect to each other. Try to assemble a section of the system on the floor beforehand. Check the tightness and durability of the connection. The ideal: the pipe can easily enter the bell, and to get it, you have to make efforts.
— It is recommended to glue the joints to increase tightness. The inner surface of the pipe ends is first sanded, degreased and then smeared with glue. It is not necessary to press the parts tightly. Should leave a small gap to compensate for the linear expansion of the plastic. In the sewer is not a lot of pressure, so a simple gluing will be enough.
— Allowed installation of sewer fittings without gluing. Before assembly, check the presence of o-rings and lubricate them with silicone.
— If possible, you should avoid a large number of connections and turns of the network. Each fitting is a potential choke point. It is also worth minimizing the number of 90-degree turns, it is better to replace them with two 45 degrees.

PP Fittings

Installation of polypropylene pipes requires frequent use of fittings. These fittings are used to connect PP pipes with each other, changing the direction, coupling with pipes made of other materials, the organization of water outlets, etc.

There are fittings consisting only of polypropylene and combined design that uses metal. Fittings are made only of polypropylene are more affordable in price, since they consist of the same material as the pipe itself, and their production is carried out only by casting.

An electric pipe soldering iron is used to connect the different sections of the pipe with fittings. The tool is heated to 260 degrees, which softens the polypropylene. It is then necessary to remove the plastic parts from the soldering iron and gently connect to each other by inserting the pipe into the fitting. Due to the strong heating the materials are mixed and a new unified crystal lattice is formed.

The joint is similar to the pipe itself in terms of tightness and tightness. The lifetime of the connection reaches 50 years. The joining method is cheap and reliable. It can be covered with building materials after pressing and can not be monitored. When soldered correctly, there are no leaks.

RR threaded fittings (combined)

Such fittings are made partly of polypropylene and partly of metal. Steel inserts are molded in their dies separately and then pressed into the plastic. Fittings with metal inserts are needed to connect polypropylene with metal pipes, taps, etc. These fittings are more expensive because the production is more complex.
